nabasa ko from one of my network's post na parang maaaring maapektuhan ang QueSci at Golden Acres sa Redevelopment Plan ng SM City North EDSA.

The SM City Redevelopment Plan

The redevelopment of SM City North EDSA is currently ongoing and set to be completed in 2009. The redevelopment is set to be a big competition to its near mall, TriNoma and set to be bigger than SM Mall of Asia. It's GFA which is 351,872 sq.m will surpass the GFA of the SM MoA which is 407,101 sq.m and soon to be 460,000 sq.m than its current GFA. They're still planning if they will re-dub the name of the mall. There are still some lands behind the mall that could be part of the redevelopment plan like DSWD owned lands like the Golden Acres and The Quezon City Science High School, they're also proposing to build an even better Cyberzone behind the carpark building. They're also planning an "Extension" of the MRTat the SM Annex Building, this will make the transportation to be easy for shoppers.

USC Statement on the AS Walk Rumble (FRATWAR!!)

It is unfortunate that fraternity violence, in whatever form, persists despite the high ideals for which fraternities are founded. 



It is even more unfortunate that in our University—touted as the training ground for the best and the brightest young minds of the country, bastion of academic freedom and excellence, and home of no less than the Iskolar ng Bayan—fraternity violence has remained so deeply ingrained in its traditions. 

As we celebrate our 100 years of existence, we lament this decades-long tradition, and stand witness to yet another of its incidents.



Yesterday morning, the Beta Sigma fraternity reportedly attacked the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity at their tambayan along AS walk. The attack led to a violent rumble between the two fraternities. Professor Agerico de Villa of the Philosophy Department of CSSP attempted to stop the ensuing rumble but was allegedly kicked while doing so. As a result, five members of Beta Sigma were arrested, three were brought to UP-PGH while four members of APO were given stitches. 



These incidents are not uncommon and, after all the resulting deaths and casualties, we in the University Student Council have realized that to condemn the act is nothing more than an exercise in futility. It appears that, from the failure of fraternities to arrest the rampancy of fraternity violence, the call falls only on deaf ears.

And so from this day on, we no longer condemn merely the acts of violence but the actors, the active participants who, despite being among the privileged few who were chosen to become Iskolars ng Bayan, failed to exercise good judgment and circumspection, and flagrantly flouted university rules, much less, basic decorum. We condemn the instigators who were expected, but failed greatly, to conduct themselves as gentlemen not only because such is inscribed in their fraternities' tenets but because such is expected from a scholar of the people.

Lastly, we condemn the fraternities that find themselves constantly embroiled in these incidences, for their failure to uphold the ideals of brotherhood and for tolerating these criminal acts. For any incident of rumble or hazing that takes place, is a sad testament to their failure to curb a pattern of violence that has ripened into an ugly tradition that indelibly smear fraternities as student institutions and the name of our University. 


We urge the witnesses to cooperate with the administration, in order to bring the perpetrators of this incident to justice. We urge the UP administration to identify and prosecute fully and swiftly all the active participants- -those who attacked and those who retaliated, while observing their respective rights to due process. 



Nearly ten months have passed since the last incident of fraternity violence that resulted in the death of one of our students. There has been no progress in the prosecution of the Cris Mendez case and we, in the University Student Council believe, that this is due largely to the undue observance of technical rules of procedure that hamper substantial justice.

In light of this, we call for the continued review and eventual revision of policies in relation to fraternities, sororities and organizations, particularly the highly judicialized rules of procedure in the Student Disciplinary Tribunal.



In turn, we extend our services to the administration and to the witnesses. We guarantee that we will cooperate and assist in the investigation, that we will ensure that the rights of those accused will be observed, that we will extend protection to the witnesses who will come forward and that we will take steps and attempt to reconcile the differences of the erring fraternities.

We likewise urge all fraternities, sororities and organizations to exercise restraint in similar situations, and to observe at all times, the rules set by the administration governing their conduct.

It is high time for these Greek-letter fraternities, premised on excellence and service, to set aside their differences and work collectively to finally put an end to fraternity violence. 

Lastly, we urge the UP studentry to remain vigilant and to continue to renounce all acts of fraternity violence against fellow iskolars ng bayan.

hindi ko na-witness yung mismong rumble. pero ang naabutan ko na lang eh nung may mga nagtatakbuhan nang mga lalake palabas dun sa gate sa tapat ng CASAA. tapos after ilang seconds/minutes, may sumunod na lalakeng topless na duguan ang mukha at ulo. ewan ko kung hinahabol niya yung mga naunang lalake, or brod nya yung mga yun. at grabe, DUGO kung DUGO talaga. fresh blood trickling down his face ang drama niya. wah.

balita ko nga, di lang basta tubo (plastic) yung dala eh. BAKAL. so good luck naman sayo db kung mapukpok ka nun (siyempre with todo effort pa from your kalaban). wish ko di ka magka-hemorrhage. and STITCHES, pare! TAHI! oh my... :(

dahil sa nangyari, parang nag-iba na ata ang tingin ko sa AS Walk tuwing dadaan ako. kasi after nga nung nangyari, habang naglalakad ako, naghahanap ako ng mga patak ng dugo sa sahig kung meron eh. kaya lang wala ata kong nakikita. bakit kaya? :-/

i know i don't have the right to judge whoever was able to prove and to show something that should make him the big winner. but as a viewer, may karapatan ako para sabihin kung sino ang para sakin ay tunay na naging huwaran at modelo para sa kabataang pinoy.


i know it sounds madrama, pero ganun eh. yun naman talaga dapat ang purpose nyang show na yan db? para maghanap ng Big Winner. ng isang taong maraming naipakita't napatunayan, hindi lamang sa kanyang sarili ngunit maging sa mga manonood. isang taong nagsilbing mabuting ehemplo para sa mga sumusuporta sa kanya. isang taong matino.



at lahat ng yan, sobrang opposite kay Nicole. kaya ayoko talaga sa kanya! hahahahaha... :))



si Ejay, ok. may napatunayan din naman. ok din naman siya kahit pano. pagdating sa mga physical stuffs, hindi naman siya nagpapahuli. tumutulong din naman. mabait din (siguro?). probinsyano.

to be exact, 620,934 votes for Ejay while 588,115 votes for Robi.


kung iisipin, WOW. ang galing naman ng supporters ni Ejay. in less than 2 hours, nalagpasan nila ng ganun kalaki yung votes for Robi! compute, compute, compute. 32,819 ang difference! WWOOOOOOOWW!!!!!!!



ang galing talaga nila! natalo nila ang powers ng Ateneo + other fans and supporters of Robi (including me, of course)! biruin mo, ilang evictions na ang na-survive ni Robi, na malaki ang agwat ng votes, tapos natalo pa nila?! WOW TALAGA.



well, ang sinasabi ko lang naman dito, oo nga't sabihin natin, maaaring marami rin talagang sumusuporta kay Ejay. pero ganun kabilis nagpalit?! na sa umpisa ng show, lamang na lamang pa si Robi, tas sa pagtatapos, biglang naging si Ejay?! in less than 2 hours, 32819 na tao agad ang nagtext for him! ang galing galing galing.....





so parang nagsayang lang pala ko ng sampung piso para kay Robi. kasi i thought, masusunod talaga ang tao. hindi lang naman ako eh. MADAMI KAMI. pero bakit kaya ganun? akala ko pa naman, totoo ang sinasabi nilang MAJORITY WINS. pero syempre, pag sa ABSCBN na, MANAGEMENT WINS na.

F4 Fever is back!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

well, at least for me. haha!


lately, i've been addicted again to F4 and their songs i can't even understand. After about, hmm, 5 years (?) of forgetting them, now it's back. Thanks to Hana Kimi Taiwan. hahaha.


Kasi nga, nung last week, naadik din ako sa Hana Kimi (Taiwan). ang masaklap, kung kelan last episodes na lang, saka lang ako naging attached sa chinovela na yun. :(


i even planned to download every episode nga eh! both the original and the tagalog-dubbed ones. and then i want to compile it sana into one cd each. para instant VCD! pwedeng panoorin pag bored. or pag namiss ko bigla si Wu Chun (Brian) or si Jiro Wang (Wesley). grabeh, they're so cute talaga!! (ayy.. fan girl, oh!! hahaha..)


but since syempre, ilang episodes din yun, malaking memory ang kelangan! e malapit nang sumuko ang memory space nitong lappy toppy ko eh. so aun. nagtiyaga na lang ako sa web viewing. eh badtrip naman, wala na sa youtube! epal kasi ABSCBN eh. tinanggal at sinuspend lahat ng accounts na may mga shows nila! grr. DAMOT!! X(


edi aun. i found other sources. ganun ata talaga pag determinadong makahanap eh. NAKAKAHANAP TALAGA. :D


pero secret na lang kung san. baka tanggalin na naman eh. ;)


tapos pa, i even searched for the songs (OST) sa imeem!! at syempre pati lyrics na din, db. pero di ko kaya. hanggang chorus lang ako. hahaha! :))




and from that, naalala ko ang F4. since Wu Chun and Jiro are members of a boyband called Farenheit, and they're also from Taiwan, edi naalala ko ang pinakamamahal kong F4!! :D


naman noh, grade 6 pa ata ako nung sumikat yung Meteor Garden eh. syempre kasama na ang F4, si Barbie Xu, mga kanta nila, etc etc. malamang naadik ako noh! kasi naman kahit san ka lumingon, nakikita sila. kahit san, naririnig yung mga kanta nila. kahit san ka pumunta, F4 ang pinag-uusapan.


siguro kung ngayon iisipin, ang OA ng sinasabi ko. pero seryoso, umabot talaga sa point na ganyan. kaya aun. pati ako, nadamay. at syempre, since kapamilya naman kami dito sa bahay, nakaka-relate talaga kami sa Meteor Garden Mania at F4 Fever!! so i can say na genuine ang addiction ko sa kanila. at hindi yung nakiuso lang. :))


naalala ko pa, sa Myx kasi, may ilang specials din na inilaan para kanila. like nung pumunta ata sila dito sa Manila. i remember na as in ni-record ko pa talaga using our videocam yung buong special na yun!! grabeh. nakakapagod ah. kahit yung lahat ng videos nila, recorded. even the interviews!! shocks. now talk about a diehard fanatic. haha!


but sadly, nawala lahat nang yun. pinatungan kasi ng nanay ko!! kasi wala na kaming blank tapes dito sa bahay!! GGRRR. X(


at syempre, since fan na nga ako, kelangan may posters din ako! so aun, bumili ako ng sangkatutak na posters na puro mukha nila! hahaha. well actually apat lang naman eh. haha. di naman ganun karami. solo ni Jerry Yan, then isa ding solo ni Vic Zhou, tapos yung dalawa, group na sila. AND! syempre fan na ko all the way, so dinikit ko na rin sa pader ng kwarto ko. hahaha!! :))


isa pa. nung concert nila nung pumunta sila dito sa Pilipinas, syempre nanood ako! pwede bang hindi?! di na ko fan kung ganun. sa Ultra yun eh. kaya lang, punung-puno na sa loob. so yung mga sobrang tao, dun nila pinaupo sa may parang bleachers sa field. tapos may dalawang screen na lang na malaki. oh well. wala naman akong magagawa eh. di ko rin sila nakita sa personal kahit mukhang langgam man lang. sana pala pinanood ko na lang sa tv. :(


ang dami na! pero kkwento pa ko. :D


kasi naging endorser din sila ng Pepsi noon. may kanta pa nga sila para dun eh. yung Ask For More. eh tapos dati, sa SM ata yun, merong parang promo na may bibilhin kang certain Pepsi product, tapos may free na CD nila na merong video nung kantang yun. so aun. since pinanindigan ko na nga ang pagiging fan, syempre bumili ako! :))



but of course, to be able to proudly say na you're a FAN, dapat alam mo ang kanta ng idol mo. and malamang nagawa ko yan! kaya nga naging F4 fan ako eh. ;)


syempre hindi naman as in memorize to the max na as in every word, every syllable eh alam ko. MANDARIN kaya yun! good luck naman sakin noh! :))

nakikisabay lang ako. memorize ko lang yung most parts. pero syempre mali mali ang pag-pronounce. hahaha. walang accent. walang whatever. ni hindi ko nga naiintindihan pinagsasasabi ko eh! haha. basta kumakanta ako!! :))




madami pa kong mga ka-gagahang ginawa noon eh. pero yung iba, either di ko na maalala, or ayoko lang talagang ikwento. dahil baka tawagin niyo na kong OBSESSED!!! XD



kaya ayan. bumabalik na naman. gabi gabi, imeem. F4 playlist ang pinapakinggan!! hahaha. sana naman di na katulad ng dati. :))



haai... ngayon tuloy, i wanna learn MANDARIN/CHINESE/TAIWANESE whatever! pare-pareho lang ba yan!? ewan. basta gusto kong matuto ng language nila!! hey, Chinese friends!! HELP ME!! hahaha!!!! =))
