Last game for JV Casio.

Ateneo lost to the Green Archers.

71-62.

Unfortunately, they failed to defend their PCC Championship Title from La Salle.

Without the Rookie of the Year, Ryan Buenafe, and their Team Captain, Chris Tiu, the Ateneo Blue Eagles obviously lacked the Champion Spirit they used to have. They are not the same Ateneo Blue Eagles I love.

I think what made them play like this today is because they don't have a leader that would guide their every play, and the one to whom they could pass the ball.

Another thing, Rabeh Al-Hussaini was a different guy in this game. It's as if he wasn't the one who won the MVP Award in the UAAP 71. Simply, he's off.

But the guy who almost took the whole Ateneo squad on his shoulders is Jai Reyes. He really made me clap whenever his 3-point shots go in. "Go Jai! *clap* Go Jai! *clap*" HAHA.

Anyway, even though I really wanted Ateneo to win and successfully defend their title, their loss wasn't that heartbreaking for me. Maybe because it's just the PCC. coz you know, UAAP's another story.

And also because I was happy for JV, that at least, his last game as a Green Archer was a win. But at the same time, I felt sad for Yuri Escueta because it's also his last game as a Blue Eagle.

oh well.. that's life. Sometimes you really have to lose. But twice the pain if you lose against your archrivals. and twice the joy if you win against them.

By the way, i'm very much happy for JV. He was one of the Mythical Five (together with Rico Maierhofer, Rabeh Al-Hussaini, Nonoy Baclao, and RJ Jazul). AND!!! He was the Finals MVP!! so great!

What a nice way to end his Collegiate Career!

To you, JV. I will see you in PBL, and who knows, even in PBA. With the great skill, talent, and heart you've shown for the past five years you've been a Green Archer, I know it wouldn't be hard for you to reach your dreams and move on to the Pros. And until then, I would continue to support you. Promise.
